Parade and festival favourites return to the Armidale Autumn Festival
The street parade we all love is returning to the Armidale Autumn Festival on Saturday 1 April along with festival favourites and the Breakfast with the Band.
Revised strategic documents to be included in SRV application adopted by Council
At an Extraordinary Council Meeting on Monday 30 January, Armidale Regional Council (ARC) adopted the revised suite of documents which form part of the application to the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal of NSW (IPART) for a Special Rate Variation (SRV) of around 50% over three years, which would take effect from 2023-24.

Local contractor JNC Group Indigenous Contractors Pty Ltd has secured the contract for the $3.9 million upgrade of the Dumaresq Dam Reserve Redevelopment Project.Council endorsed the appointment at the ordinary meeting held on Wednesday 14 December 2022 and marks a significant milestone for the upgrade of the Dumaresq Dam Recreation Area.
Council living values with gift giving to seniors
This Christmas will be the 20th year Armidale Regional Council (ARC) staff have given individual gifts to every person on the Uralla-Armidale and Guyra Meals on Wheels rounds, with 200 gifts being delivered in the week leading up to Christmas. Also this year, Council staff are supporting the locally organised charity Santas for Seniors, to create hampers for workers in the aged care facilities over Christmas.

Council future-proofs region with purchase of Oaky River Dam
Following a lengthy expression of interest process, Council has today resolved to secure the purchase of the Oaky River Dam, located 40 kilometres east of Armidale near Wollomombi. The dam will be a vital component to secure our water supply for the region and a significant step in meeting Council’s ambitious population and growth targets.
