Council works with accommodation providers ahead of Cold Chisel event in Armidale

Armidale Regional Council has welcomed the news that iconic Australian rock group Cold Chisel will kick off its 50th anniversary tour in Armidale and is working with providers to ensure accommodation options for visitors.

The event will be held at Peterson’s Winery & Guesthouse on 5 October 2024, the October long weekend.

Other events in the region that weekend include The Australian Orienteering Championships and Guyra Troutfest.

This combination of events, each attracting visitors to our beautiful region, combined with ongoing high occupancy rates will put pressure on existing short-term accommodation.

Council is working closely with accommodation providers and others to explore options.

Transport is being organised. Buses will run between the venue and designated sites in Armidale town centre and some surrounding towns. More information and a schedule will be circulated closer to the event.
