Mayor 1975 - 1977
Ald Poggioli was first elected to council in a by-election in 1967. He served as deputy mayor from 1970 to 1971 and was a vice-chairman of council's finance committee and gas committee for two years prior to his election as mayor. He was a real estate agent with one of the city's biggest firms. Married with three children, he was president of the Armidale Cricket Association and St. Peter's Cricket Club. He was also a committeeman of the Armidale Ex-Services Club.
