Mayor 1907
Mary Winifred Bonnar, the wife of the mayor died suddenly on 23 May 1907. Mrs Bonnar was the daughter of the late John Trim and left a husband an three children. Following a requiem mass in the Roman Catholic Church, she was buried in the Armidale cemetery. James Bonnar, the son of John J. and Lucy Bonnar resigned in October because of the death of his wife earlier that year.
The Armidale Express, 29 September 1922 announced the death of James onnar in the Murwillumbah Hospital on 24 September. A resident of Tweed Heads, he had been a representative of Silk Bros., Sydney for many years. He left two daughters and one son.
