Work has now been completed at the Old Courthouse in Armidale, with large amounts of old trees and vegetation removed.

Tree Removal

Date: Sunday 27 August

We will removing a large Claret Ash tree at the front of 157 Kentucky Street. The tree has been assessed and confirmed dead, thus poses a risk to the community and marked for priority removal.

Tree Pruning

Date: Sunday 6 August

We will be commencing tree pruning of multiple large Claret Ash trees at the front of 175 Rusden Street.

Tree Removal

Date: Wednesday 9 August

We will be removing two large Eucalypt trees from the corner of Centennial close and Erskine street. 

Following the inspection, the trees were assessed as having significant deadwood and branch loading, along with obstructing line of sight which resulted in them being marked for removal. 

New trees will be planted in an alternative location to avoid creating a traffic hazard.

Tree Lighting Removal

Date: Sunday 13  August

We will be removing the old fairy lights found in multiple trees along Bradley street as we work towards improvements in the main street of Guyra. 

The Guyra Progress Association has planned to replace the old fairy lights, many of which no longer work, with new ones that will brighten up the main street.

Bradley street will remain open, however traffic control measures will be in place.
