"If there is a car parked on the side of the road that hasn't moved for quite some time, you need to check if the registration has expired. Vehicles with current registration cannot be removed by Council (except in extenuating circumstances). If the vehicle has registration and hasn't moved, contact your local Police station as the vehicle may be stolen. Unregistered vehicles cannot be parked on public land - they must be kept on private property. The last registered owner of the vehicle will be notified in writing to remove the vehicle, and if Council's request is not complied with the vehicle may be impounded."
