Terminal building operating hours have been adjusted for revised airline departure and arrival times. Terminal operating hours will be:

The building will be closed between airline services.
Armidale Airport is six kilometres from the city centre and is operated by Armidale Regional Council. It has daily return passenger flights to Brisbane and Sydney, with onward connections to Asia, North America, Europe and throughout Australia.
A $10 million upgrade of Armidale Regional Airport was completed in December 2017, creating a new terminal building with improved check-in, baggage handling, food and beverage and retail facilities, as well as enhanced parking.
Armidale to Sydney:
QANTASLink and Regional Express Airlines (REX). Flight schedules allow for a full
business day in Sydney to suit business travellers.
Armidale to Brisbane:

Security screening
Security screening is now in place for all Qantas passengers at the Armidale Regional Airport. All luggage, including checked-in luggage and carry-on items will now go through a thorough screening process before departure.
All LINK airways and REX passengers are not required to undergo security screening, and now depart through gate 3 at the Armidale Regional Airport.
This will greatly streamline the travel process for those with connecting flights, as passengers will not be required to go through security screening again once they arrive in Sydney or Brisbane. Security screening will also greatly enhance safety for both passengers and airline crews.
The installation of the specialist security equipment was made possible by a $1.8 million grant from the Australian Government's Aviation and Maritime Safety and Security Program.
Parking
Paid parking will be introduced for the Armidale Regional Airport carpark from 1 May, to improve the availability of parking for airport users and provide a more equitable mix of income for the regional facility.

Park'nPay smartphone app
If you need to park your car at the Armidale Regional Airport, you will now be able to pay for your parking without walking all the way to the meter thanks to the NSW Government's Park'nPay smartphone app.Simply download the app to your phone, choose the nearest meter, enter your number plate and parking duration and make payment through the app. You'll then receive reminders when your parking is about to expire, and you will have the option to top up if you need to. For those without a smartphone or the ability to pay online, you will still be able to pay through the meters. For more information, visit the Park'nPay website.
