Can't Sing, Can't Fly - An exhibition by Liz Fulloon21 Jan 2023
One day Liz Fulloon realised that most households display an ornamental bird that has a sentimental and dollar value. If one of these items breaks we are saddened by the loss, despite the fact that it cannot fly, and it cannot sing. However, outside the house the real magic happens. From fragile eggs nestlings hatch – a huge range of species and plumage. They can sing and fly! Yet sadly, we kill them on our roads destroy their habitat, deprive them of sources of food and nest sites. I fear that one day we may be left with only ornamental reminders of what we once ignored. Liz's exhibition focuses on this topic and will be shown at the Armidale Art Gallery, in the Armidale Mall, from Saturday January 21 to February 18, 2023. Join us for the opening at 2pm on Saturday the 21st, with a chance to meet the artist, or pop in sometime during the exhibition to take a look at the fantastic and meaningful exhibition.

Information on threatened or endangered birds will also be supplied with the exhibition. Jeni has also produced a small book – Birds in the City of Armidale which will also be on sale at the exhibition. Jeni's works will be on shown at the Armidale Art Gallery, in the Armidale Mall, from Saturday January 21 to February 18, 2023. Armidale Regional Ratepayer's/Resident's General Meeting4 Dec 2023
We hold our ARRA General meetings two weeks after the monthly Armidale Regional Council meeting, on Monday evenings at 5.30pm in the upstairs room of the Armidale Bowling Club. Visitors / guests are very welcome. We aim to seek, establish and maintain constructive dialogue with Armidale Regional Council with the objective of delivering optimal outcomes of policy and administration for the ratepayers and residents of our local government area. We monitor what is happening in each month's Armidale Regional Council meeting and how it may impact on the ratepayers and residents of this region. If we believe we need to present a point of view or consideration, on any matter, we communicate with our elected councillors and/or the staff of the Armidale Regional Council.
