Nominations open to recognise inspiring community members

Nominations are now open for the 2021 Australia Day Awards, an opportunity to celebrate individuals and organisations who have contributed to their communities.

The Australia Day Awards recognise the achievements of community members and their inspiring service to the community, culture and sports, and encourage others to make a difference in our region.

Nominations are invited for the following categories:

  • Citizen of the Year
  • Young Citizen of the Year
  • Senior Citizen of the year
  • Community Service
  • Sportsperson of the Year
  • Contribution to Sports and Recreation
  • Art, Culture or Drama
  • Community Event of the Year
  • Environmental Citizen of the Year

Nominations for individuals or organisations can be submitted online.

Award recipients will be announced at Australia Day celebrations held on Monday 25 January in Guyra and Tuesday 26 January 2021 in Armidale.
