Armidale region ratepayers can now choose to receive rates notices and water bills electronically, offering added convenience for customers and a boost for the environment.
Instructions on how to sign up to receive rates and water notices electronically, and options for online payments, are included on rates notices currently being sent to ratepayers.
“The move to electronic rates and water notices helps cut the use of paper and reduces postage, bringing greater convenience, sustainability and cost-effectiveness,” Armidale Regional Council Mayor Simon Murray said.
“The eNotices are an initiative of Council’s EcoARC ‘greenprint’ for sustainability.
“At the same time, the online payment options allow you to pay your rates and water accounts whenever and wherever it suits you.”
Councillor Murray said the more people who opt to receive their notices electronically, the greater the cost savings and the more money that can be redirected into other services to the community.
