ACECQA helps with understanding the National Framework for early learning and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.

National Quality Framework describes the principles, practices and outcomes that support and enhance young children's learning from birth to five years of age, as well as their transition to school.

The Education and Care Services Regulations supports the national regulatory legislation and provides detail on a range of operational requirements for an education and care service.

Early Childhood Australia provides information about the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework and links to other useful resources.

The National Quality Standard (NQS) sets a high national benchmark for early childhood education and care and outside school hours care services in Australia. The NQS includes seven quality areas that are important outcomes for children. Services are assessed and rated by their regulatory authority against the NQS, and given a rating for each of the seven quality areas and an overall rating based on these results.
