For Armidale residents a planner is available for general enquiries Monday to Friday, 9am - 11am at the Council building in Rusden Street; or call 1300 136 833.
If your enquiry is more detailed and about a specific project, we recommend you arrange a pre-DA meeting.
For Guyra region residents contact 1300 136 833 to find out the availability of a planner in the Guyra office.
For Armidale residents, planning officers are available by appointment to discuss any proposed development and answer questions you might have. Early consultation in the design process can bring to light many issues that may inform your final design. Council officers are available for pre DA meetings on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 9am to 11am. For any appointments outside these times you will need to liaise with Council Officers. Please call 1300 136 833 to make an appointment.
Please select your preferred time on the Pre-Development Application meeting request form (PDF 366.9KB) and email to firstname.lastname@example.org You will be contacted by a Planning Officer to confirm a meeting time.
Provide the following information with your booking form:
- a rough sketch or plan of your proposal to help focus the discussion
- a clear outline of what development you wish to do on the site
- notes of any specific issues you are aware of or questions you may have
- Large scale developments will often involve a range of issues.
You may benefit by other officers attending such as a Building Surveyor, a Development Engineer, or an Environmental Health Officer. If you are aware of specific issues that may require another officer, please advise at the time of booking. We may also contact you if we think another officer needs to attend.
Please note: It is not necessary to confirm the appointment on the day.
