The New England Volunteer Awards 2021 comprise the Armidale Volunteer Referral Service (AVRS) National Volunteer Week Awards and the Alwyn Jones Community Service Award.

The Alwyn Jones Community Service Award

The Alwyn Jones Community Service Award is jointly supported by Armidale Uniting Church and Armidale Regional Council. The award, which commemorates Alwyn Jones’s contribution to Armidale (click HERE for the full story), will be presented to an individual or organisation demonstrating an ongoing commitment to voluntary community service within the Armidale Regional Council area.

Please note that there is a 1000 word limit for nominations for this award.

NB: If you are nominating a volunteer/group for an AVRS Award and have already provided relevant information for the criteria for this award, you may just put:

“Information already provided under item (appropriate number) above.”

6. Long established commitment to voluntary community service in the Armidale Regional Council Area

Nominees for both awards (and their representatives) need to be in attendance at the awards event for acknowledgement.
