Community Small Grants
Applications open on Monday 11 November 2019 for the current round of Community Small Grants, offering community groups financial assistance of up to $1000 per group.
The Small Grants program is designed to assist local groups to:
- continue or introduce programs that benefit community members in the Armidale region local government area
- provide activities that enrich quality of life in our region and can have long-lasting benefits for residents
- foster collaboration between groups
- provide activities and programs that encourage the inclusion of everyone
Applications close on Monday 2 December 2019 and successful groups will be notified from Thursday 12 December.

Stronger Country Communities Fund
The Stronger Country Communities Fund was established in 2017 by the NSW Government to help deliver local projects to regional communities. The objective of the fund is to provide projects that improve the lives of people who live in regional areas.
It is a $100M fund with $50M dedicated for youth related projects (aged 12-24). You must seek $50,000 minimum per project and provide a 25% contribution for projects over $1 million.
Round 3 of SCCF is open and closes on 27 September 2019. The announcement of successful projects is planned for January 2020. Please see guidelines (PDF 1.1MB) for funding requirements.
Sports Council Small Grants
The Sports Council also provides small grants to local sporting stars to help cover the cost of participating at high level competitions. The program is open year round to residents of the Armidale Regional Council Local Government Area or sporting groups affiliated with the Sports Council. Athletes selected to represent NSW may be eligible for a small grant up to $250, and athletes selected to represent Australia may be eligible for a small grant up to $500.
