Home Library Service

Home Library Service

Bringing the library to you

Are you unable to come to the library or carry books home due to age, illness or disability? If so, the Home Library Service can help you.

The free service provides fortnightly or monthly home deliveries, depending on your needs.

Home Library Service staff interview applicants to assess eligibility and determine which service suits the needs of each client.

Full-time carers of housebound members are also eligible for the service.

You can request and borrow:

  • Fiction & non-fiction items
  • Large-print books
  • Talking books on CD & mp3 CD
  • Specific titles and authors
  • Daisy Players
  • CDs of popular and classical music
  • DVDs such as movies, musicals, documentaries & TV series
  • Magazines
  • Items in languages other than English
