Mayor 1911 - 1912
He died at Manly on Sunday 18 September 1949, aged 90 years. A photographer in Armidale for many years, he succeeded his brother H.B. Solomons in the business. He was a member of the New England Jockey Club for many years. Following his retirement thirty years ago, he went to live at Strathfield and later he moved to Manly where he lived for twenty five years until his death.
