Sewer Vent replacements in Armidale

Sewer Vent replacements in Armidale

Armidale Regional Council is undertaking essential works to three Council Sewer Vents within Armidale.

The work, part of a larger program of scheduled sewer and water projects, is planned to commence from 5 June 2017.

“28 Sewer Vents were inspected by our contractor SVSR Pty Ltd in early March 2016,” said Council Project Officer Mark Byrne.

“As a result of the inspections and subsequent advice, we have so far replaced three Vents - one near Stephens Bridge in Marsh St, one at MacDonald Park on the corner of Taylor St and Barney St and one at a private residence. This new work will replace an additional three.”

Works include the removal of all vegetation around the Sewer Vent, demolition of the existing Vent and construction of a new Vent by SVSR Pty Ltd.

A notification letter will be sent to the occupants and owners of the properties affected.
