1 Green Street Guyra NSW 2365, being Lots 1 & 2 DP 1217293, and Lots 22 & 116 DP 755824

Armidale Regional Council has received a Development Application from New England Surveying and Engineering for a proposed 29 Lot Rural Residential Subdivision and Dedication of a new Public Road. Armidale Regional Council will be the Consent Authority for the Development Application under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

This is also an application for “Integrated Development”, as the proposal requires a ‘bushfire safety authority’ for the purpose of s.100B of the Rural Fires Act 1997, namely subdivision of bushfire prone land that could lawfully be used for residential/rural residential purposes. The NSW Rural Fire Service is the approval body for that activity.

The proposal also requires approval for ‘works to a waterway’ under s.91 of the Water Management Act 2000 for work carried out within 40 metres of a watercourse. The NSW Office of Water is the approval body for that activity.

The application and supporting documentation is available for download, below, from 22 September 2016 to 24 October 2016.

Within this period, any person may make written submissions on the Application to Council addressed to The Interim General Manager, 158 Bradley Street, PO Box 107, Guyra NSW 2365. Any objection to the proposal should state the grounds of objection.

Please note that under State legislation, any person making a submission on a Development Application must also disclose whether they or any “associate” have made a “reportable political donation” or gift to a local Councillor or Council employee within the period commencing two years before any submission is made and ending when that Application is determined.  Further details including disclosure forms are available on request from Council.
