Conduit installation for Water Service lines around Armidale

From Thursday 7 September, 2017 for 4-6 weeks Australian Underground Service Installations Pty Ltd who is contracted to council will be at various locations in Armidale installing conduits across roads and pipe along footpaths by Horizontal Directional Drilling (underground bores) to facilitate the renewal of deteriorated Water Service lines.

This is a non intrusive method of installing pipes without disturbing the road and driveways.

This forms part of councils Capital Replacement program for replacing old worn out water services that connect properties to council water mains.

Status:

All but 3 bores out of a total of 26 have been installed and Council crews will be starting to connect the new lines and decommission the old lines very soon.

Australian Underground Service Installations Pty Ltd (AUSI) are installing a 180mm bore along the footpath in Marsh St between Jeffrey St and Newton St in conjunction with water main replacement program and are expected to finish their works by 27 October.
