Due to low registration numbers, sorry we have had to cancel the Drumming Circle scheduled for Wednesday 14 December 2022. A similar event will be advertised in 2023 when people are less likely to have such a full social calendar.

Tech help for Seniors

Tech Help is available to seniors who need some assistance working with their devices and navigating the online world.

Tech Help will be available every week  at Armidale Library and once a month at Guyra Library.
Seniors can ask for help with their devices including phones, tablet or computers, using apps, and accessing websites. Each one-on-one session is 30 minutes and bookings can be made online at https://youngster.co/website_find_location or by phoning  Armidale or Guyra library.

Click on See Availability
Click on Book Now
Click on Choose slot for selected time (there are two times per half hour for Armidale)
Choose Returning Senior or New Senior as appropriate.

Transport for NSW Centre for Road Safety has advice and safety tips for people in our community aged 65 or over to help make safer choices when driving, riding, walking, using a mobility scooter or catching public transport.

Exercise for Older People Videos 

The National Ageing Research Institute provides a set of six free online videos that can help older people stay active at home. 

Australian guidelines recommend older people do 30 minutes of physical activity every day for strength, flexibility, fitness, and balance.  It is also good for your mental health.  The exercises were developed by allied health professionals with expertise in exercise for older people.
